Substantial Web Failure Affects Many Websites and Applications
A widespread online failure has impacted numerous sites and mobile apps worldwide, with users reporting problems accessing the internet after problems at Amazon’s online infrastructure system.
The impacted platforms encompass Snapchat, Roblox, Signal, and the language learning app Duolingo, along with multiple Amazon-operated operations including its main retail platform and the Ring device manufacturer.
Across the United Kingdom, the financial institution Lloyds was impacted as well as its affiliates the bank Halifax and Bank of Scotland, and also reports of difficulties accessing the HM Revenue and Customs website on the start of the week.
