Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A chopper hovering over a popular coastal beach unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Footage shared on social media depict the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then descending near the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck between palms and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the pavement were hurt. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
Planned Function
The department mentioned the helicopter was linked to an annual “Cars and Copters” charity gathering set for the following day.
