Brooklyn Earick Rules Out Tottenham Hotspur Takeover Bid Following Expression of Interest

Daniel Levy directed Tottenham's relocation to the club's new home in the year 2019.

US technology mogul Earick has dismissed launching a buyout proposal for the North London club.

Tottenham had previously “unequivocally rejected” an informal expression of interest from a syndicate led by Earick last month and insisted the team was unavailable for purchase.

But UK takeover and merger rules required that, having had an informal proposal turned down, the interested parties had to submit a bid by late October or state they would not proceed.

Official word of the decision was issued in a release issued by Spurs to the London Stock Exchange, stating the organization is “not in an acquisition window.”

He posted an picture of the release on online platforms, adding: “It was a privilege interacting with Spurs and the owners' agents over the past few months.

“I hold great respect for the team, its management, and its followers, and desire only the best.”

The club's board thanked the group for its “positive engagement” in discussions and for “respecting the firm stance” of the proprietors that the club is off the market.

Earick is a one-time music presenter who also worked in spacecraft research for the space agency before establishing the innovation company, which focuses on tech, media, athletics and leisure.

His approach was the third approach turned down by the organization's leadership since the unexpected exit of executive chairman the former chairman in last month.

Earlier in September, the team rejected offers from former Newcastle United shareholder Staveley's PCP International Finance Limited and a consortium spearheaded by Kennedy and the co-investor through Firehawk Holdings Limited.

Levy and his family own about thirty percent of Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd – which has an almost 87% shareholding in Tottenham.

The executive was the English top flight's most enduring chair and is estimated to have made in excess of fifty million pounds during his almost quarter of a century in the role.

Yet he was also the target of frequent demonstrations by Spurs fans, notably last season as Premier League performances turned out below expectations.

Spurs secured their initial silverware in nearly two decades when they defeated Manchester United in May's continental decider.
